Berkeley, California: American experts have developed a soccer robot that can run, jump and do other tricks, which is actually called ‘Better than Messi’.
Her name is Artemis, which stands for ‘A Robot That Exceeds Messy In Soccer’ Artemis, but she is a female robot who also wants to compete internationally. There are currently only three robots that can run and jump.
It was created by Dennis Hong of the Department of Robotics at the University of California, Los Angeles and his colleagues. This robot is currently going through several testing phases. In July 2023, it will participate in the World RoboCup where 2500 robot soccer players from around the world will participate.
Like any football competition, it will have many leagues. While the competition will feature robots up to five inches tall, this is a human-sized robot that maintains its excellent balance while walking and can walk over uneven terrain.
However, how important it proves to be a better robot than Messi, only the robot soccer tournament will tell.
