Jharkhand reported its first case of H3N2 flu, besides five new cases of COVID-19, a health department official said on Sunday.
A 68-year-old woman, who was admitted to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), Jamshedpur on Thursday with symptoms of cold and fever, tested positive for H3N2 influenza virus on Saturday, the official said.
Confirming the report, East Singhbhum district civil surgeon Dr Jujhar Manjhi said the victim was kept in an isolation ward and is under observation. The victim had no travel history, he said.
