Lahore Qalandars became champions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the second consecutive time. In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by one run after an interesting match. Multan Sultans was given by Lahore Qalandars. Gaya fell short of the target of 201 runs for victory and managed to score 199 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted overs. Sultans’ Riley Russo scored 52 runs off 32 balls, while Mohammad Rizwan 34 and Khushdil Shah 25 were the standouts. Shah Afridi took 4 wickets while Rashid Khan took 2 and David Vissa one. With this win, Lahore Qalandars became the first PSL team to defend the title.
