No eggs: Today Rs. A dharna was held under the auspices of the students’ parents’ committee at Angaluru Primary School in Krishna District’s Gudlavalleru Mandal to keep their children in the school which was constructed at a cost of 17 lakhs. A dharna program was held on Thursday demanding the immediate cancellation of JIO No. 117 and withdrawal of the policy of merging elementary schools into high schools. Parise Jyoti, president of the school’s mother and father committee, questioned on this occasion that they modernized their school in Angaluru at a cost of Rs 17 lakh and built RO plants, toilets and classrooms in an advanced manner and merged their school with the high schools that did not have any facilities. He questioned how the children of the small class will be included in the big class schools. At first students boycotted classes and camped with books on the Angaluru-Vinnakota main road. Some of their parents held a dharna there. On this occasion CPM leader B.V. Srinivas said that the movement will not stop until G.O 117 is cancelled, and on the 11th, they will present a petition along with the district collector along with a thousand parents. Parents and committees of schools in the district with this problem have been called to attend the collector’s office in large numbers on the morning of July 11.
