The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Mossadegh Malik, has said that agreements have been signed between Pakistan and Russia for crude oil, petrol and diesel. Russia to supply oil and diesel to Pakistan at reduced price.
Minister of State Mossadegh Malik while holding a press conference in Islamabad today said that the visit to Russia was better than expected and the talks were also very positive as they have reached agreements between the two countries. Russia has decided to supply crude oil to us at favorable rates which have been negotiated, while Russia will also supply diesel to Pakistan at favorable rates.
Mossadegh Malik said that now we have decided to continue with the process that we have to take into account the national interest and international rules and regulations and these agreements are part of it. They are moving ahead with Pakistan’s interest.
The Minister of State, Dr. Mossadegh Malik, said that some of our old agreements on gas pipelines have also shown interest from Russia and we have asked Russia to show some flexibility in this regard.
Mossadegh Malik said that the details of the agreements made with Russia will be finalized in January and that a ministerial delegation from Russia will visit Pakistan in January, after which further progress will be made on these agreements.
He said that the Prime Minister has directed to make the country self-sufficient in agriculture. Factory chimneys should always emit smoke, it provides employment. The Prime Minister wants all young people to have a job. If the economy grows, there will be jobs. The country’s economy will have to grow by 7%.
